ABOUT ME

First, let me just say that the dread of writing an ‘About Me’ section is on par with how I feel whenever I’m on a date and someone asks me what I like to do for fun.  No one wants to hear about “inhaling an entire pint of Ben & Jerry’s Americone Dream while watching John Carpenter movies on the couch”.  If anyone asks, I’m a foodie through and through, I love to travel and grab drinks with friends  ;)

My name is Sebrienne Oki.  5th generation Japanese American.  Taurus, INFJ, if anyone cares.  I basically started this blog to write about my experiences and what piques my curiosity.  I also document my journey as I navigate a new career change as a writer after spending 14 years doing work that did not fulfill me (as one does).

I want people to leave here with comfort in knowing we’re all a work in progress and you don’t have to have it all together because life never goes according to plan.  I want people to have a laugh even if it is at my own expense. I do find myself in the most ridiculously precarious situations and I won’t apologize for it.
